French Territorial Overseas Communities (CTOM) - long stay

CTOM are French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Mayotte and Wallis & Futuna.

Each visa applicant aged 12 years or more must appear in person with an appointment (see below). The General French Consulate in Frankfort has sole competence in Germany to issue visas for French Territorial Overseas Communities (CTOM).

Documents to be provided (originals + one copy of all your originals)

- 1 [*] long-stay visa application form duly completed and signed ;

- 1 [*] identification photo, in colour, recent (less than three months), original in 35 mm X 45 mm format with clear and uniform background ;

- Original passport + photocopy of principal pages. Passport in good condition, with a date of expiration at least 3 months after the end of the visa, issued within the past 10 years and containing at least 2 blank pages. The visa is validated by a self-adhesive label that will be affixed to one of the pages of the passport ;

- Proof of legal presence in Germany + photocopy (Aufenthaltstitel, long-stay visa) ;

- Extract from the police record of countries where the applicant has resided during the past three years + photocopy ;

- A medical certificate ;

If you wish to work

- The degrees and the CV in french for the position contemplated + photocopy ;

- Work contract or promise of employment specifying the job, salary, weekly duration of work, the true location of employment and references by the employer ;

At the same time, your employer must apply for a work authorization from the appropriate CTOM authorities.

If you do not wish to work (visitor)

- Supporting evidence of revenue allowing a stay in a CTOM without working. (Future revenue of the applicant- bank confirmation – living accommodations) ;

- Evidence of an accomodation ;

- Evidence of applicant’s medical coverage : the document which confirms social security during applicant’s stay in the CTOM with a travel insurance covering repatriation costs for medical reasons, emergency medical and hospital care valid for the duration of the stay. Contact your Insurer and file a document clearly outlining such coverage ;

- Application fees (non-refundable) : 99 € payable only cash (200 € and 500 € bank notes are not accepted). Spouse of a european citizen don’t pay the visa fees (provide marriage act and proof of european citizenship of the spouse).

The delivered visa is a three-month D-Visa. After receiving it, you must apply for a resident card where you will live.

Attention : The Consulate reserves the right to claim additional supporting evidence. Filing the documents does not systematically guarantee issuance of a visa. You should not leave your present job, sell your property or commit yourself in any way before receiving your visa.
